Diamond Rings
Vintage diamond rings — ÂGÉE Milan
About this collection

A diamond's cut tells you when it was made, and for what kind of light. The rings in this collection carry old mine cuts, old European cuts and rose cuts: shapes faceted by hand before electricity, meant to flicker in candlelight rather than blaze under spotlights. Nobody cuts diamonds this way anymore. When an old stone is recut to modern proportions, that geometry is gone for good, which is precisely why we keep it.

Every ring here is one-of-a-kind: scouted by our founder, then documented at our Milan showroom with hallmark, provenance and gemmological review. If you would like to tell an old mine cut from an old European at a glance (the shoulders, the culet, the way each returns light), our guide to antique diamond cuts walks through them one by one. And if the ring is meant to ask a question, start with the engagement rings.
