Authenticity & Provenance
Every piece is examined by hand and sourced from documented, reputable channels — auction houses, private estates and trusted dealers. We read its hallmark, confirm the era and the metal, and record what we find. Each piece is one-of-a-kind: there is no second copy.
A hallmark is a small stamp on the metal that records its purity and, often, its origin and date — for example 750 for 18k gold, 585 for 14k gold, or 925 for sterling silver. We read it under a loupe and report it in the listing.
Each jewel is selected personally by our founder, Veronica Varetta, and documented. Pieces come from a range of sources — auction houses, private estates and trusted dealers across Europe. Provenance is recorded for every piece.
Our gemmologist checks the stones, and many pieces come from reputable sources such as auction houses, where the stones are already documented. Where useful, a certificate of authenticity can be issued on request.
Most rings can be resized; eternity bands and full-pattern designs usually cannot. We arrange resizing through our own atelier before shipping. Tell us your size and we will advise on the specific jewel.
Measure a ring you already wear against our size guide, or have a local jeweller read your finger. Unsure? Write to us with the inside diameter in millimetres and we will match it for you.
Antique describes a piece roughly a century old or more; vintage sits between then and recent decades; estate simply means previously owned, of any era. ÂGÉE curates across all three, each one documented.

The jewels collected by ÂGÉE are unique and all different from each other, chosen and discovered with care and passion.
